Reverse engineering on all database platforms is stuck on preparing intermediate files for more than 10 minutes and Data Architect stops responding like this:

Steps To Fix This
As this might be related to the layout, try another layout such as Tree or Circular in the last step of the Reverse Engineer Wizard. Avoid using Hierarchical since it is the slowest one. You can change the layout after the process is done.
Prioritize using Native/Direct Connection instead of ODBC during Reverse Engineer.
Please do not choose any of the Infer options on the page 4 at the Reverse Engineering Wizard indicated below:
